New 70 GS Grill Now Available
New grill top compared to an old original.
Lower grill has painted chin piece and all 3 pieces of stainless
installed.
Top view. Original grill has the bottom lip painted black
which should be painted silver as done on the reproduction grill.
Notice upper center stud boss on original grill. Height is
important.
Notice how the reproduction grill boss is slightly taller.
Using a yardstick you can see the height is 7/8" on
the original and
about 1 1/4" on the new one. To solve this problem use
a slightly shorter
grill stud on the top center position or you can remove the
excess boss material.
Studs are provided with the new grills. These are excellent
reproductions.
