`Buick 455 Throttle Cable Brackets`

Here are two Buick 455 throttle cable brackets that mount just behind the Quadrajet. The one on the left is from 73 and up models. The one on the right is for pre-73 engines. They almost look the same!

Here is the comparison showing the difference. The lower one, early version, is offset to the rear(closer to the firewall) about 0.75" Does not seem like a big difference but with the correct throttle cable, the upper one would not let the secondaries open all the way when the gas pedal is pressed to the floor.
